Without a doubt...

My son took my magic 8-ball off my desk today while I was surfing on Amazon. I took the Magic 8-ball and asked \"Should I write a review about you, Magic 8-ball?\" The reply was \"without a doubt\", so here I am typing up my review.

I do not know or remember where this Magic 8-ball came from. I only know that it seems to have always been here, on my desk. I have moved houses a few times, and it always ends up back on my desk. I am not sure why it stays there because I have never used it in the course of my business. I try to save it for the really important questions that life throws my way.

For instance I asked it today \"Are we in a depression?\", the reply was \"better not tell you now\". So I was confused and asked \"will you tell me later?\" and it responded \"ask again later\". Isn\'t that amazing? I can\'t wait for later to find out the answer.

The Magic 8-ball has usually steered me in the right direction. An example would be a few years ago I asked \"Should I invest in Enron?\", the Magic 8-ball replied \"my answer is no\". Wow, did that save me a ton of money! How could it possibly know that Enron was going to fail? Oh wait, its MAGIC!!!

Now there have been a few times when the Magic 8-ball has been not only wrong, but horribly wrong. The most recent was a few weeks ago when I turned from my desk and saw my dog chewing an electrical cord. I asked the Magic 8-ball \"should I go unplug that electrical cord to keep the dog from getting shocked?\" The Magic 8-ball replied \"my sources say no\". So I did not unplug the cord.

I turned around and focused on the work I was doing and then a few minutes later I hear some weird noises and smell burnt fur. What is happening? Then I remembered the dog. By the time I spun around the dog was on fire. Not a huge raging fire, but enough of a fire to light 4 or 5 cigars at once. I yelled at the dog \"STOP, DROP, AND ROLL!!\", but when that did not work I realized I had never trained her to use that technique, something I must remedy later. I ran over and was about to stomp out the fire, but then realized it might hurt the dog, and more importantly I was barefoot, so I ended up throwing my margarita on her, luckily for her I had that drink in my hand so early in the day. I am sure it was past five o\'clock somewhere. That put out the fire and taught me a good lesson, never ask the Magic 8-ball any questions regarding electricity. Good to know.

An update on my dog, she is fine now. We had to cut off the burnt fur and used our Wahl 79900N Clip-N-Trim 23-Piece Complete Haircut Kit, while not specifically made for fur, it did a fine job. And the fur will grow back eventually. The good part is she no longer likes the taste of extension cords.

PS: I figured enough time had passed to re-ask my \"Are we in a depression?\" question and the Magic 8-ball replied \"Most likely\". Oh well, hope it does not last long.

Very adequate water gun

This water gun shoots about 15\', which is adequate but not as described. Large enough resevoir to outlast other water toys.

a little dissapointed

I didn\'t know you had pump the thing and there was no trigger to shoot. And it only shoots about 15 feet and the stream is not very powerful. I bought it to scare squirrels away from my bird feeders, it barely works, not enough power.

Semi-effective duck deterrent

I bought this toy to humanely frighten away an illegally released invasive species of duck away from our bird feeder. The ducks loved the \"blast\" which was more of a shower.

However, this toy is fun, even for an adult. I found it effective in providing a quick blast of cooling water when doing heavy yard work in a warm climate. My husband plans on getting one too, to \"fight back\"! More fun than the squirt guns we had as kids.

Soaker

Strangely enough, I bought this to discipline my dogs when they bark at the fence. They stop when they see the soaker. The soaker shoots quickly and long. I\'ll try the fun aspects after the weather get warmer.

A film for both fans of the game genre as well as the Hollywood series.

Its always good to see Leon S. Kennedy kicking Zombie butt and I am glad they\'ve included Claire as well to form the original duo from RE2 that had captivated the world on the PS1. This film returns back to its roots with zombies along with the T-virus and G-Virus. Although the CGI animation is not on par when compared to those that came before it such as FF7AC, it is still worth seeing if you\'re into zombie flicks.

A Good animation film of Resident Evil.

I can honestly say that this movie is good, I mean for the first animation version of Resident Evil, although we RE gamers were expecting something more.. aggressive, scarer, violent scenes in it !

But the movie is good in general, the quality is great, the sound is perfect, only the story is smoehow less stronger than any Resident Evil game or the 3_parts movie by Milla Y.

I purchased this movie along with RE5 official guide from Amazon (I thought it was cool to get a package of RE items together!.. and It is a really good one).

I advice Resident Evil fans to purchase this movie, \'cuz in the end it is about RE, right? so get it now!

As Good As The Games

Being A Huge Resident Evil Video Game Fan(Bought The Nintendo GameCube Just To Get The Resident Evil Games Made Exclusively For This Gaming Platform),I Have Been Somewhat Disappointed With The First Three Resident Evil Movies.

They Werent Terrible Movies,But They Didnt Follow The Storyline Of The Games Close Enough To Know They Were Barely Related(Kind Of Like Distant Cousins Twice Removed).

Then Finally The Computer Generated Movie Resident Evil:Degeneration Arrived.

The Movie Features Two Of The Video Games Major Charecters(Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield), And Their Appearance Is As Close To Their Video Game Version As Possible.

The Movie Sticks As Close To A Possible PlotLine For The Video Games As Possible(In Fact If There Was A New Resident Evil Game That Followed This Storyline,I Would Not Be Surprized).

I Have Already Watched This Movie Several Times And Find Myself As Drawn In To The Action As I Was The First time I Viewed The Movie.

A THRILLING ROLLER-COASTER RIDE! 9 OUT OF 10

I\'m a Resident Evil junkie; I love both the game franchise and I even love the live-action flicks. Note: This Resident Evil film is not related to the live-action trilogy, and serves as a prequel to Resident Evil 5. This film is a crazy blend of zombies and ludicrous yet utterly awesome action. This is one of the best animated films I\'ve ever seen as well as being one of my top ten zombie flicks.

WHAT IT\'S ABOUT: The story takes place seven years after Raccoon City was nuked off the face of the Earth. When all hell breaks loose at Harvardville Airport, the T-Virus infects people at the airport which causes it to be overrun with the hungry undead. Now Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield must stop the bio-terrorists and uncover the government cover-ups and find out what\'s going on at the mysterious pharmaceutical company WilPharma and their involvement with the even deadlier G-Virus.

MUSIC: The musical score is wonderful and flows almost perfectly throughout the film. This is not surprising, considering the Resident Evil franchise has always had great music.

ACTION: The action in this film is insanely awesome and completely over-the-top. Explosions galore, bloody zombie violence, lots of shooting, and plenty of high-octane, heart-racing moments make this film really shine. This film also features brilliant and amazing CGI animation that easily stands out as some of the best. Unfortunately, I do have minor gripes for some of the action because sometimes (But very rarely) the action goes a little too far over-the-top. Thankfully this rarely happens and you\'ll hardly notice. This film certainly earns its R-rating.

ACTING: The voice-actors were actually pretty good, even if they got moments of questionable dialogue. Capcom even went as far as to get the original voice-actor for Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4 to play him in this film. The actor is overall believable and very well-done.

OVERALL: If you love the franchise, love zombie films, love crazy action films, or love animated films Resident Evil: Degeneration is a definite must-have and provides tons of non-stop thrills, making a standout and superb film.

THE GOOD: The action, the CGI, the bloodyness, the acting, the story, and the music.

THE BAD: Awkward dialogue in some areas, some action scenes are too over-the-top, and I didn\'t like the ending.

Precisely as expected

This is as ugly as any other drinking bird I\'ve seen so far, but once you get past that, it\'s handy for explaining pressure and condensation.

Durability really doesn\'t apply here, as it\'s not a toy for children.

Flew the Coop

This bird does not stop drinking. I recommended he talk to someone about his problem, but all I got was the glazed over look in his eyes. With his goofy hat and tacky tail feather, he finds his way to any available drink and dips his head right in, regardless of who he\'s hurting in the process.

Very Entertaining....Needs a little adjusting to work continuously

The Drinking Bird is made of glass....glad we got two as my 11-year old dropped and shattered Bird #1!! After adjusting properly, the bird drank continuously for HOURS until I physically stopped it....

What worked??

1. Used a glass 4\" tall..filled to the brim with water

2. Soaked the Bird\'s Head completely with water

3. Adjusted the metal collar height (gently as glass is fragile!)

4. Most importantly....I slightly bent the metal \"wings\" (that rest on the plastic \"legs\") on the metal collar (gently) to position the bird\'s distance from the glass (plastic \"feet\"/base keeps it a minimum distance from the glass of water.

Once he starts drinking, it keeps on going!!

Very Cool

This is a great novelty toys and works very well. People ask me where I got it because they want one. All you can do is watch it but it is still a fun toy to have for the cheap price.

Retro, Cool, Dumb but Clever

It depends on your mood. It is amazing. Take the glass of water away and he keeps \"drinking.\" Kids like to guess if he\'ll go forever.

Be sure to put his head clear under water to start him. You can tell the humidity by how fast he goes -- 1 drink / minute or 1 per 20 seconds, ...

Major Excuses!

If you have the co-worker who has used every excuse in the book this is the toy for you. I\'m glad I read reviews on all the bubble machines out there. This ones reviews weren\'t perfect but seemed the best in comparison. It has been great! Makes so many bubbles!!! Seems hardy, been knocked over quite a few times and pulled at and works great. Buy this bubble machine.

It Really makes a Gazillion bubbles. Kids LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!

This bubble machine is the best. We purchased a look alike that in no way compares to the durability of this machine. Kids love bubbles, mommy doesn\'t like blowing bubbles for them, so here ya go. I only wish they had this when I was young. Best purchase this year.

Very good and tons of fun!

My son recieved this for his birthday 2 years ago and still loves it! We only use it outside so leaking is not an issue. We have not had to change the batteries at all and every time we get it out my boys get so excited. Fun, but not very functional

They\'re fun, I guess (it\'s hard for me to think like a 2-year old). They don\'t float upright. The squirt hole is at the top and the plastic is rather firm, so that feature is not really very useful, especially for small children. Maybe they\'re better on dry land. Note that each package might contain different Thomas characters.

Still, for $10 they are a reasonable buy.

thomas tub

my 2.5 yr old loves these in and out of the tub, makes a bath much more fun

Disappointing

My 3 year-old son LOVES tub toys, especially tub squirters, so I thought these would be perfect - given his obsession with Thomas the Tank Engine. And truth be told, he does like playing with them. But ...

* they don\'t float upright! They float lying on their sides.

* they\'re stiff & difficult to completely fill with water. If you want the water to squirt out the top of the train\'s funnel (like steam) they have to be totally full and you have to squeeze pretty hard. It\'s too difficult for my 3 year-old. When only partially filled (which is normal) you have to turn them upside down to get them to squirt. They squirt well like that - a nice steady stream - but kind of defeats the purpose.

Overall, my son likes them, but does get frustrated when they don\'t float upright. He likes playing with them out of the tub too. But, if I would have know the above things, I\'m not sure I would have bought them. Even though they are only $10.

Great toy!

My son loves these toys, he plays with them everywhere (not only in the bath). He only started playing with them after 2 years old, and now he could fill up the water by himself. If you've seen The Exorcist lately, the folks at Parker Brothers would like to extend a heartfelt Captain Howdy-Ya-Do? courtesy of their newly luminescent classic Ouija Board equipment. I love the newer glow in the dark version, i used to have this years ago as a child, I am now 38 and wanted to show nieces this amazing board I used to \"play\" with as a kid.

Why are there always fanatics?

Of course there are fanatics calling this toy evil because B movies give it a bad name but the fact is this IS a toy. This is a toy. It\'s a fun toy. It\'s a rectangular piece of card board with the alphabet drawn on it and then painted with glow in the dark paint. The planchet (the triangle thing) is plastic. It wasn\'t \'carved by Satan.\' It\'s not Evil. It\'s a toy. Think about it. What self respecting demon is going to show up using a glow in the dark piece of plastic? If that\'s your idea of evil clearly you don\'t know about the cruelty and violence in the world today that you have to rant about a TOY! Get a grip!

Not bright, but my daughter loves it anyway

Other reviewers have noted problems with this product. I was nervous about buying it after reading their experiences, but ours has been working without problem since Christmas.

My daughter loves this product because she thinks the rainbow is beautiful (I have to admit I am impressed too). She has me turn it on every night before I leave her room at bedtime. It gives off enough light to make the darkness in her room be less frightening, and her focus is on the rainbow instead of on the dark.

I love it because it shuts off automatically. I do not want a night light that remains on all night, and the rainbow shuts itself off after a short time. This is a great night light alternative. I also appreciate how small the projector is.

I love the recon. It has good range, very good accuracy, never jams, and is easy to mod (i haven\'t but i have seen youtube demos). When using the barrel extension, the shooter can put extra darts down the barrel for a shotgun effect. The light beam targeting system is very accurate when used under the barrel extension. overall it is one of my favorite Nerf guns, along with the maverick.

Your better off with a cheaper Nerf Maverick.

I am 19 years old, and me and my buddies all bought this for a 500+ people zombie game coming up next month downtown. The barrel attachment makes the distance of the Nerf dart shorter. The aimer attachment is pretty good with the accuracy when tilting your gun in the air to shoot farther, but the barrel itself screws it all up.

I took my gun back to the store and bought a Maverick Nerf gun for half the price and it shoots the same distance (if not, farther) than the recon. I know I\'m 19 buying a Nerf gun, but a huge game of zombies is awesome.

Bought this and the longshot to battle with my son. These are loaded with fun and provide hours of indoor entertainment!

Don\'t misplace the pen nibs

When you install the batteries it requires the use of a small phillips head screwdriver... So you need a regular screwdriver to make your Sonic Screwdriver work. (And while I was doing this, I actually was thinking to myself, \"Hmmm, this really could be more sonic!\")

I\'ve had this thing for about a year now, I use the regular pen nib quite often and it\'s currently not showing signs of running out of ink. The nib with the UV ink, unfortunately was lost.

That is the biggest issue I have with the item. The instruction pamphlet that comes with it says that you can order replacement nibs from customer service. You can not currently just order replacement nibs from Amazon, nor are they currently listed in the \"Spare Parts\" section of the Character-Online customer service website. (Though there are spare Dalek parts which is kind of awesome.) You have to call the company\'s customer service department which is in the UK. So unless you want to call long distance and pay shipping from the UK for pen nibs? Do not loose them. (This may change, I hope it does.)

Onto the good stuff!

I really love owning this thing. A few days ago I had a blackout at night and (due to a recent move) I couldn\'t find my flashlight, but I was using this thing to make some notes. So I used it to find my keys and my wallet to go out and buy a proper flashlight and some candles. Doing that was more fun then I should probably admit in a public forum. Secondly, the UV ink is tangentially educational. Your child likes Doctor Who, you get them this pen, they write secret messages on the psychic paper and say \"Cool! How does that work?\" They then become interested in what UV light is, learn all sorts interesting stuff about wavelengths and \"Yay! Science if fun!\"

If you\'re a cosplayer through, that\'s not really your concern. From close up and far away it looks good, it has the right moving parts, lights up and makes the noise. It comes with batteries. I don\'t know what more you could ask for.

Just don\'t misplace the pen nibs.

If you\'re a Doctor Who fan, this is standard equipment. This little sonic screwdriver looks and sounds just like the one featured on the episodes. Makes for a fun drinking game.

Goofy and Enjoyable

The husband may scoff, and no, it does not seem like the most sturdy thing ever made, but I cannot stop smiling whenever I use this. I\'m not too sure about getting refills and such, or if it would even be truly worth it to bother. That\'s not really the point though, is it? I purchased the Sonic Screwdriver as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old daughter. It was a huge hit! She was more excited about it than any of her other gifts. My wife and I were also very impressed with the quality of the product. It is very well made and came with its own batteries. I must admit that with the interchangeable ballpoint pen and invisible ink heads I really would love to get this as a gift myself. It is so great to see a toy that is so well made. Doctor Who fans at any age will love this product.

Instructions people, read em, its not that hard, really, lol

First of all let\'s just clear something up about all these negative reviews: as for popping off parts, in the instructions it SAYS that parts are made to pop off during transformation so that if YOU the user was forcing it too much, it will pop off (and can be easily popped back on) instead of snapping and breaking off (like if you were to force an older gen Transformers figure). Its a feature to save kids from breaking their brand new favorite Bumblebee people. Try reading the instructions.

Admitedly, yes, several of the new movie Transformers have some of the most insane Transformations I have ever seen in a Transformer. I think its impressive and wowed me. It was a lot more like the way they move about in the films. Gone are the days of flip the calves/feet down, pop out the arms, rotate torso, flip up head DONE. And there is a very good reason for that: creating a FAR SUPERIOR robot mode. The robot modes are so impressive in these new Transformers its insane and this Bumblebee is TOTALLY my favorite. He\'s extremely close to be the spitting image of his on screen self. Amazing head sculpt with perfect detailing, even his chest plate folds down in the center like its supposed to on film (which its not flipped down all the way in package, just FYI). I love this figure to death. Its one of my favorite Transformers ever, and I\'ve been messing with these things since Bumblebee was just a little Bug with articulated arms and a flip up head that couldn\'t turn and a hologram logo on his chest/roof. This figure is amazing. Period. The kid in me that loves robots and cars is happy in both modes. The adult in me that can respect sculpting, articulation and engineering is even more wowwed. Don\'t listen to these haters. If you love Transformers, want the best Bumblebee ever made, and can READ SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS properly, then do not pass up this amazing toy!

Amazing....

i pre-ordered this toy like, two weeks back, it looked like it was going to be the best in the toy line. And I\'m pretty sure it IS! This toy is (as the title suggests) AMAZING! I really like the flip out blade feature. unlike most transformer toys not a whole lot actually pops off. Once in a great while the foot will fall off, but it\'s not at all often. I got several from the new toy line and and from the 2007 movie line, and this is the best figure I own, hands down! The transformation is tricky to say the least (I spent two hours trying to get it to truck mode) but once you do it a couple times it gets easier. It really is a battle ready toy as well, It is sturdy and easy to pose. And unlike some where you have one pose and a kid couldn\'t really play with it, this one is perfect for that! Especially if you have Leader class Megatron! Anyway, overall an AMAZING toy!!

Just got my Revenge of the fallen Optimus prime today on my lunch hour.

when i first saw spy pics on this version of prime..you really couldnt see the detail..now that i have him sitting on my desk..it was WORTH the wait! he was always my favorite transformer.

this Transformers 2 version is far superior than the first movie\'s Prime(its still a great depiction though).. when you look at this one you\'ll see right away that its Optimus . Its virtually cg accurate to his screen self. its the real deal.

The quality is incredible..it ranks right up there with the masterpiece Optimus Prime(which i have standing next to this one )

the plastic is more durable...he feels \"solid\" and well built...but i still wouldnt let little 5 yr old johnny, play with this unless he has an engineering degree. cause some parts can be fragile during transformation. these are made with the collectors in mind, and rightfully so. if you were around during the generation one era you know what im talking about. i got 2 of these one thats staying sealed in the box and the other is for display.

the paint job is more movie accurate. its also great that he has an autobot symbol on his chest.. i like the swords that come out for battle, but i wish they would at least have given him his trademark blaster rifle though..but this works also.

the moving gears feature is also a unique addition..you can tell that alot of thought was put into this Prime. takara/hasbro has a winner here ...no wonder hes flying off the shelves.

the icing on the cake is that they incorporated actor Peter Cullen\'s voice too! for the sound bite saying \"I am Optimus prime!\" when you press the \"try me\" button...you press it his eyes flash, chest rises and lights up as he introduces himself in his majestic/regal voice. that we all know and love.

for you non gen one fans..Peter cullen was the voice of Prime in the marvel/sunbow Transformers animated series...whis is really the only REAL transformers series period. they made a wise move in getting him to reprise prime for the films.

i cant say enough good things about this autobot ... if you get only one transformer from the Revenge of the Fallen line...this is the one to get. you wont regret it.

Autobots, transform and ROLL OUT !

A True Work Of Art

I\'ve been collecting transformers since I was a kid and if there\'s one thing I\'ve ALWAYS hated about the toys up until now, it\'s that the product never accurately matched up with the character on the screen. Now, keep in mind that back in my day, things like what we see in CGI films like Transformers weren\'t at all possible...but Takara Tomy finally broke that depressing streak with THIS figure. This has got to be the most impressive example of planning upon planning for a perfected design that features an extremely complex transformation (at first)- but after the first few times you get the steps down pretty easily (only took me a few days). If you compare the 2007 model/version of this figure to the newly redesigned 09\' model- you\'ll see a SIGNIFICANT difference in character comparison. This IS Optimus Prime, not just some inaccurate toy, it\'s so close to the CGI character that I don\'t see any mistakes in the design- if anything it\'s PERFECT. Every detail matches up with the CGI design so well that it\'s just AWSOME! The toy is durable, AND when you transform it, parts don\'t rub against each other and mess up the paint job- which i know some perfectionist collectors ABSOLUTELY hate. Buy this figure, because I honestly don\'t think you\'ll ever find another TF product this close to character/toy accuracy! BUT, i will say this- if you\'re a real collector and you want character/toy accuracy...go with the Takara Tomy version instead of the Hasbro version. The Takara Tomy version\'s name is RA-01 Optimus Prime and you can find him on the web in plenty of online stores. Get that version, because if you look closely you\'ll see that it\'s paintjob is actually correct while Hasbro\'s model has some of it\'s parts painted red instead of silver- don\'t settle for that lol. Mkay, well- happy hunting and have fun with this product!

Unbelieveable, until you get it in your hands!

When I first spied leaked photos of this figure, it was difficult to imagine they could make such a toy transform tightly into the truck that we all know. This one must be seen (or better, physically handled) to be believed! The transformation is amazing, and more intricate than anything before seen in the movie lines (and probably in any Transformers line, actually, \'cept perhaps some of the Masterpieces).

Plastics seem to be a little better than the first movie Prime, and the paints are finely done as well. Super poseable and stable. Parts are easy to pop-off, but pop back easily as well (which if you accept, puts the durability to at least 4 stars). Sounds are improved, with a line from Peter Cullen this time round. And the best thing? It\'s probably as movie accurate as possible, short of making a bigger toy!

Negatives? Well, the wheels are now plastic (not rubber), and have a habit of going out of line in truck mode. The fingers/thumb are no longer articulated. The head doesn\'t really look up (mainly side-to-side). The Transformation will test most adults, let alone children! And the way some pieces pop-off may be annoying to some buyers.

Despite the negatives, though, this is one amazing figure, and can be very highly recommended. If you only get one Revenge of the Fallen figure, then make it Leader class Optimus Prime!

This is truely the figure to get out of all of the Transformers ROTF toys. Brilliantly reimagined with a painstaking transformation not recommended for children under 10 years. Also the lack of pin and hinge support is apparent when parts suddenly pop off but can just as easily be put back on. Also the fingers are not articulated like the last one and it has plastic tires. But these are very minor flaws considering the accuracy of the robot/truck mode. All I can say is that this IS the definitive, though pricier, movie leader class Optimus Prime. Go through amazon, they are a very trustworthy organization for things like these. They find the very best possible in terms of quality and steadfast service. Those are the values that I found anyway. the toy iteself is approximatly 13\' inches tall, slightly taller than the last film\'s Optimus Prime. Very detailed with a really cool gimmic called \"Mech Alive\". That means that they have incorporated very good design features to where actual moving gears that would normally be seen in their films counterparts, are found in the figures themselves. Improved animatic strips away the separating windows, pop-up head & space laser noise, with something more refined. With chest piece pushed down, his torso moves with startling realizm as if he were talking a deep breath to say a simple line, \"I AM OPTIMUS PRIME\" in Peter Cullen\'s actual voice no less (Peter Cullen is Optimus Prime for those of you who don\'t already know that). Stop reading this review, and just get it! 10++++++ A++++++++ (CRANK\'S THE KNOB TO ELEVEN)

Neat looking

The big bad villain the Fallen. He has a nice or should I say interesting bot mode. The \"jet\" mode is pushing it very obvious they created the bot first and just thought they could convert him into something that looks vehicle-ish.

He\'s limited as far as posing goes. He can only move his head in and out for this \"energy panels\" He has no ball joints for wrists so again it can only go up and down. Legs and arms have free movement though.

He\'s pretty sturdy though his leg did pop off once, but I popped it back in and had no problems ever since.

His feet are kind of annoying if you move him too much. Other wise I like the fact that they just plop into place if you set him onto a hard smooth surface.

Overall he\'s awesome looking overall though limited in certain aspects but definitely worth the [...]. Would recommend.

Movie Soundwave: One Devilish Looking Decepticon !

with Transformers: Revenge of the fallen coming to theaters later this month..i like others were excited to hear that Soundwave the Decepticon Communicator, and megatron\'s head Intelligence officer will be making his big screen debut.

when i first saw spy pics of Soundwave in january i was shocked..the design was a radical departure from the tape deck character we all know. But, this design works for the film..his disguise is a communications satellite. in short Soundwave rocks! lots of detail here.

he is one Devilish looking decepticon the design retains his G1 style head(great touch takara/hasbro !) the color scheme is reminiscent of his g1 days also. he is quite poseable and is well built...i like his claws and his arms they wanted the movie transformers to look totally alien, and they succeded..

he also comes with ravage that launches from him ( ala g1 days) ravage as you know is the cassette Kitty that is loyal to soundwave..however hes not transformable...perhaps a later version will have a transformable one because hes in the film. mabey laserbeak too? one can only hope:)

Soundwave, is one of my favorite Decepticons, and i think they did a nice job on him..hes worth getting. like Optimus prime, hes hard to get..i went to 2 stores before i landed 2 of him (one to open and one to keep sealed in the package)

Good For My 1st ROTF Figure

I went to my local Toys R Us and today, we have ROTF in stock. I got this guy and legends class Bumblebee. I was looking forward to this guy since I first saw him. The only real complaint I have is that the ball hinge on one of his legs is looser than the other. But very minor. I wanted to get FAB Skids, but they didn\'t have him. I recomend this.

the new jazz... sorta

The majority of all transformers have similar characteristics. Whether it be the overall design of either car or robot mode, they all have a unique style at the same time. In Sideswipe\'s case, he is a prefect ballance of two different Autobots. The two being Jazz and Barricade, at least in the movie incarnations. Sideswipe is a Corvette Concept with silver paint and blue tinted windows, similar to Premium jazz\'s appearance, though with better quality. The headsculpt bares resemblence to Decepticon Barricade. However, everyone knows that Sideswipe is an Autobot. Could he be somewhat related to the two? Who knows what sub-plot this autobot has in store in the film Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. This figure has great posability with a great sculpt a wonderful attention to detail. The only problems I have are the occasionaly popping off of parts during his transformation and having minor balancing issues with the way the feet have to form in robot mode. Other than that, this is a great figure with great modes throughout.

my son just got this for his 6th birthday and loves them. I say THEM b/c we had to buy TWO of them...that is my only complaint..it is packaged with ONE claw and wolverine has TWO. so of course my son wanted two of them. I got them for $22 at toys r us. each takes 2 AAA batteries. makes electronic slashing noises when you swing them around and the claws come out easily with the flip of the wrist and my son gently pushes them on the ground or couch to push back in. the claws are rounded and larger around than I expected so he is not hurting anyone or anything (yet, lol!). His hand fits under the black part and it has adjustable velcro underneath and a handle to hold onto so virtually anyone can use it, no matter their size.

the claws do stick once in awhile coming out if he doesn\'t do it just right, but he really doesn\'t care at all. overall a super toy and we would purchase again!

Wouldn\'t really call it a toy...

The slime is a mess.

I don\'t think Bob is worth the price that I paid for him, but my son is happy with him. The slime on the other hand is the issue. I now have a small green circle on my new blue carpet because I was not notified in time, by my 4 1/2 year old, that it was \"smooshed\" into the carpet. The slime also picks up any carpet fibers, lint and other mess that hasn\'t been vacuumed up. Since the circle incident, the slime has been hidden, but Bob is still jiggling. =>

i like the game because the wheel that launches the car launches it like a special track and the crane lowers and drops the car on the switch that triggers all the cars on the sides and i like that the car in the middle goes off a ramp.

Fun starter set for a child with patience

Our 5 year old son received this for Christmas, and he\'s still loving it...which says a lot considering how many toys he has to choose from. If your child is relativly new to race tracks (like ours is), you\'ll probably need to help him/her assemble it. It doesn\'t take long to set up, though (5 to 10 minutes), and it seems to be holding up well to all the wear and tear so far (everything still works great after 20+ uses). You should be aware that the cars do need to be moved from one section to the next, and several of our sons cars from his personal collection did not fit into the launching section....so it might be a good idea to explain that to your child before he/she begins playing with it. However...all-in-all I\'d say it was a good buy.

Wiz Bang Fun

We bought this for our 8 yr old son based on the reviews here. It\'s really fun to play with and is quite durable. The only silly thing is, we can\'t get it back into the travel box because one part just won\'t come apart no matter what we do. We don\'t really care but since we went out of town for Christmas, we couldn\'t repack it when it was time to drive home. Otherwise, it\'s great.

I don\'t know who likes this toy more. My 3 years old son or my husband. It\'s cool and so fun. My son loves this toy and play for hours.

I dissappointed that cars don\'t run so fast and not so long. The push power is just not so strong. It\'s good enough for my 3 years old son but he gets bored eventually because of speed limit.

The CEO of my husband\'s company spoke with Pres. Obama (actually, yes, he did) to remind the President that telling folks to not travel isn\'t such a great idea for the travel and tourism industry. Hm. I wouldn\'t think a president of his intellectual caliber would need that type of reminder. Guess I was wrong. Unless Pres. Obama really isn\'t interested in \'stimulating the economy\' so much as \'growing government size and power\'.

NICE BIT OF OBAMA COLLECTIBLE FUN

I was looking for some Obama collectibles after this historic election. I have a few bobble head dolls of historical figures and I thought this one would be a nice addition. I wasn\'t disappointed. It is a fun collectible. Maybe the doll doesn\'t look as much like Obama as it should but it is passable. It is fun and done in good taste with a bio of Obama on the back. Insectosaurus playset

This is by far the best set in the series! Additionally, it is the only way to get the much prized Insectosaurus figure, which is not available in any other size. The figures are well sculpted and painted, and the addition of electronic features is a plus. Not only do the calming unit\'s lights actually turn on, the giant bug\'s sound effects only add more enjoyment! I think these pieces would hold up fairly well to child\'s play, and they work as a collector\'s item too. This one, more than the others, is worth the price of admission!

perfect for twilight fans

Ok, while I\'ll admit it may not be the best toy for playing with, though I wouldn\'t say that from experience as my Edward hangs in his package on my wall. This is a great figurine for twilight fans. Yes there is a typo on the box, but I love the fact that they put Edwards stats on the side of the box! I am hoping to see the Bella figure alone soon and really hoping the company will make the entire cullen family.

Edward Cullen Doll

I bought 2 of this Action figures. Gave as gift to my 2 daughters who celebrated their birthdays in March. I have one for myself in my room attached to the wall. Of course, they loved it. So did I.

Love it, but they should do their research on the spelling...

So, my husband endured embarrassment to buy me this action figure as I am a collector of all things Twilight. Love it, but, they spelled his \"real\" last name wrong. Its M A S E N, not M A S O N. It really irritated me considering they are the official Twilight merchandiser. And no where in the books does it mention his middle name as Anthony. If they did, I certainly don\'t remember, but I have read all the books numerous times so I\'m pretty sure about that. Its still a great collector\'s item, but I do wish they would fix that error with any future merchandise.

Not your average boardgame

Agricola blends trading card game strategy in a unique, balanced format where foresight, understanding your opponent and risks are all rewarded. As with any other good board game, the rules and mechanics simply make sense after three rounds of play. New comers will immediately be confused by the sheer number of options, tokens, markers, play styles and what seems to be a mound of rules to remember. Once you overcome this initial confusion, the game becomes fast paced and truly enjoyable. TCG Players will enjoy the planning and added depth of strategy the Minor Improvements and Occupations bring.

I do not recommend this game for those who have not tried another Euro style or another advanced board game. For those looking to get into the board game scene, I suggest Settlers of Catan or Acquire. Both these games have recently been re-released making them easily obtainable and quite inexpensive.

Before you buy this game, I highly suggest you read the rules and look up a number of video demos online prior to your purchase. Having a basic understanding of the game will help you first unpack this hefty box.

A wonderful Board Game

After looking for a board game to move to after years of playing settlers of catan, I purchased this game. While it is not exactly like Settlers (thankfully), it is comparable and everyone has enjoyed it as much as that game.

Once learned the game takes very little time to play through, in fact the game feels shorter and shorter each time we play. It is a strategy game which demands that you plan ahead and make the most of each move. It seems that chance is a minor role when compared to settlers.

This game has many modes to play through and allows for years of gameplay.

I would recommend watching a youtube video on how to play when you get this game, if you do not have someone to teach you. As others have said, the rules don\'t make sense to newbies. They are clear after you have played the game through, but I know there were many, \"Ah-ha!\" moments while watching the video like, \"thats an action square!\" and others.

Excellent Fun!

My partner and I are brand new Eurogames, although we\'ve been playing \"Ameritrash\" for several years. We bought Agricola because we wanted to try a board game that didn\'t involve dice and - more importantly - pure chance in order to win. I did some online research and hit on Agricola, which we were drawn to because of its farming theme.

First, like another reviewer said, one box contains a surprisingly satisfying amount of stuff for one game, everything from little wooden fences to discs representing crops and building materials. It takes us about 10 minutes to set up the game, but we think that that\'s part of the fun.

We\'ve only played the 2 player version so far (we\'re hoping to entice family members to join in on the fun soon), and we\'ve found that it takes anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes to play through. Each turn follows the same \"routine\" that revolves around making decisions (sowing crops, building pens, making food, etc.) fundamental to running a successful family farm in 17th century Europe. The flow of the game repeats a number of elements, but there\'s enough chance in laying different cards at different times to make each game unique and challenging in its own right.

I do, however, have two gripes, and these might have more to do with my novice status as a game player than the game\'s faults.

1. We had a really hard time understanding the directions enough to get an idea of the fundamentals of the game. The booklet would refer to \"the family board,\" for example, without identifying which of the six or so boards in the box was the family board. What is a \"food disc\" in one page is a \"food chit\" on another. This might not seem like a big deal, but when a game has dozens and dozens of components...

We even had a hard time figuring out how to begin the game. After carefully unpacking and sorting everything and reading the directions at least four times, we finally went online. Between a couple of useful step-by-step reviews and a wonderfully instructive video on YouTube, we got ourselves straightened out.

2. Some of the components run out before the end of the game. The first time we played, we ran out of sheep. The second time it was wheat. Maybe it\'s the novice way we\'re playing, but we\'ve already decided that we\'re going to invest in more Meeple animals and produce if we get really serious about Agricola.

I highly recommend Agricola if you\'re looking for a challenging strategy game.

Great Strategy Game

Agricola is a fun game to play that is moderately difficult to learn and very tough to master. Playable with 1-5 people, the game takes about 2 hours with multiple players but goes much quicker with just 2.

The goal is to build a diversified, productive farm from very humble beginnings while feeding and growing a \"family.\" The more family members you have, the more actions you can take each round, and the more you can accomplish. But large families take more food and ensuring an adequate food supply can be tough.

Each player gets 14 cards that can be used to modify the existing rules and help the players toward victory. Limited resources are what keeps the game challenging, everybody wants everything but you can only take so much.

The game is sturdy, using wooden pieces and good card stock, but the inclusion of the old-fashioned Avalon Hill or SPI counter tray would have made managing the pieces much easier.

Overall, the game is somewhat expensive but the replay value is high and learning \"the perfect\" strategy is made all the more difficult due to the diversity of cards.

I may have found my new favorite board game!

I have been an active player of board games for at least 35 years. I\'ve played games at all levels of complexity, ranging from tournament level Avalon-Hill bookcase games to family and party card and boardgames. For the past five or so years my favorite board game has been \"The Settlers of Catan\" (and its variants), that is, until I played \"Agricola\".

OK, first, a bit about the game...

Each player in the game (up to 5 can play) represent a farmer in 1670 AD and his spouse. About now you may be thinking, \"yawn,\" but just wait, there is some real strategy and fun to be had here. Play progresses as players use their farmer and spouse each turn to do different things including the possibility of building a larger house, raising crops, fencing in pastures, collecting food, collecting animals, having children (that can also work each turn), etc. All the way through the game there is a real challenge when it comes to feeding your family, and improving your lot in life. You can improve your chances of success by playing occupation cards that give your players different capabilites, and by playing cards that represent a variety of differing improvements to your house, fields, etc.

The neat thing about this game is that every occupation card and every improvement card is unique, and because players are dealt only a limited number of cards at the beginning of the game, the game is never the same twice.

This game takes about twice as long to play as a round of \"The Settlers of Catan\", but the time flies when you play.

Many websites that rank the popularity of games are seeing this game climb rapidly to the top of those rankings.

If you enjoy a game that employs a small element of luck (the cards you are dealt), and a large degree of strategy (what to work to have your family members do each turn), then this game may be for you. So, if you have taken games like \"The Settlers of Catan\", \"Ticket to Ride\", and \"Carcassone\" as far as you can and you are ready for a bit larger gaming challenge then you will not be disappointed with this offering.

OK, one last experience - my wife and I were playing this game recently when our 9-yr-old daughter came up and asked, \"Is that game like the \'Game of Life\'?\" After a moment\'s reflection I told her it was more like the game of \"real\" life. You know, working hard, scrambling to feed the family, accumulating different commodities to improve the house, etc.

When I opened my copy of the game I was impressed that the game company had the foresight to go so far as to include a bag of small reclosable plastic bags that can be used to separate the different pieces and types of cards from each other, thus helping keep the game better organized in the box and making for quicker set-up times whenever you want to play. This game is worth far more than 5 stars!

I believe that this game will remain a favorite of mine for many years to come.

Awesome Batman toy with so many activities for younger kids

I purchased this for my son for Christmas last year because he had been eyeing it for some time in the store. It was not a disapointment at all. It is very durable and well-made. The little characters are very detailed and the cave has so many things for my child to do. It has a warp-looking hole and a clear plastic \"jail.\" It also has an elevator that goes all the way to the top and all kinds of doors and stairs to go up. I was so happy when I saw this toy because I was some-what of a Batman fan growing up, and my son isn\'t really old enough to enjoy the traditional action figures that are available. This was perfect for him and he truly does enjoy it and I enjoy watching him play with it.

favorite toy at the party

My son, and all his friends, were thrilled with the bad cave!! It has soooo many doors, levers, lines, windows, etc. It kept them busy for hours and we still intend to buy the accessories for more hours of play.

My boys LOVE this!

I bought this for my boys (ages 4 and 5) for Christmas and they play with it all the time. I especially like how it folds together and latches to close for storage. They use all of their different \"guys\" with this Batcave. Great investment and well made!

No batteries - excellent fun!

My son got this for his 5th birthday. He has other Imaginext toys and loves them, so this was perfect for his Batman party/birthday. All the kids love to play with it (girls too) and because there are two sides you can have people on each side doing things, so there is no arguing! Imagination plays a bit part in the play that happens, so it really is worth it. Portable too - love it!

butterfly garden

I have purchased many Butterfly Gardens during the last 15 years, always this brand. They have all been successful. They make wonderful gifts for my grandchilden (of which I have 22!). We also use the larger Butterfly Gardens in our school with our kindergarden classes--again with success. They are a source of wonder bringing in the world of nature up close and personal. They become the pages of the chidren\'s journals and the inspiration for their artwork. I love this product.

doesn\'t come with larvae

This product doesn\'t come with the live butterfly larvae. One can order them online or call them with phone or fax. The online page wasn\'t working and phone - was always engaged 24 hours. I could however fax the order.

Everything else worked just fine. But, when the butterflys came out of their cocoons, there was some blood splattered into the net and some of the butterflys died immediately. Don\'t know why.

But, it was for my son who was 4 years old and he had as much fun and education as he could have watching the larvae eat and grow and turn into chrysalids and butterfly.

My son love\'s this teething toy

We bought this toy based on the advise from many of our friends who have them. Great teething toy. The babies can chew on the feet, ears, horns, and they can easily hold on to it\'s perfectly sized neck. My son loves to chew on it for as long as I let him have it. ( I have to take it away to change bibs because he drools so much)

not too attractive for babys older than 6 months!

I bought this product when my baby was 6 month old. He got about two teeth at that time. He already used some other teething toys when I Purchased Sophie. He did not show much interest in the new toy at all. because it is expensive, I showed this toy to him many times a day thinking he\'ll form some kind of attachment to it like other reviewers said about their children. But he does not care about it at all. another thing need to mention is when you wash Sophie, it does not squeak as well as before. looks like you can only damp dry it, which is not hygenic to my point of view. and now the little Sophie is lying there my son does not touch it and he\'s just 7 month old, still teething.... may be we should\'ve bought it earlier when he just started teeth?

Great netbook - great price!

My wife (at age 59) showed an interest in having her \"own\" small computer to use at home, a first! As a birthday gift I ordered her this netbook - after checking reviews and pricing - Amazon offered the best \"bang for the buck\" with an upgraded 6 hour battery.

It works like a charm - phenomenal battery life - fast speed - all in all a wonderful lightweight alternative to full size laptops. Very easy to use - which was important. The only add ons needed were a wireless mouse, as she can not use a finger pad (had one at work - I finally changed that out for her also) and a great buy on a carry case.

Came immediately - and as always - Amazon pricing ran circles around the stores and ebay vendors! Next vacation - the netbook goes with us - my full size laptop stays home!!!!

Better than expected.

After lots of research I decided on the Acer Aspire One netbook because of the multi-card reader, the 160 GB HD, the 1GB of Ram, the 6 cell battery and the 10.1 inch screen. I have had it now over a week and have since upgraded the memory to the 2 GB memory card. Like another reviewer I feel like I have gotten more for my money than expected. The screen is very clear, even outside in the sun. It streams video and music seamlessly. The webcam worksed very well while talking to a friend using Skype. The keyboard works well for me (with my small fingers) and my husband and other male friends (with much larger hands) had no problem typing on it as either. It was very easy to change the memory card. I have been able to get between 6 and 7 1/5 hours of battery life from my 6 cell battery. I am also able to have multiple applications open simultaneously with no noticeable lag.

I was prepared to hate the buttons on the touch pad due to the poor reviews that they received on almost all other reviews. Yes it is a stiff button but in the time that I have been using it I have gotten used to it. It is not annoying enough for me to get an external mouse just yet, and I have logged quite a few hours on this machine since I received it. One draw back is that this machine, unlike other models, does not come with a sleeve or case, but I have found one that works well for it from Amazon and am very happy with it.

Over all I am extremely pleased with this device and its functionality and have recommended it to all of my friends and co-workers. It is extremely portable and user friendly and I hope that this review helps others to make an informed decision.

My first laptop

This Acer was recommended to me and I have no regrets in getting it. I love taking this machine wherever I go! It is certainly not a ruby red color, it\'s a burnt sienna color (hence the four stars, not five). That was the only disappointment. This machine works smoothly, it\'s easy to type on, the battery lasts a great amount of time. I went to Best Buy and got a little case for it and it fits snugly. I would highly recommend this Acer to anyone who needs a netbook.

Our 1 year old grandson loves playing in the water. So, we thought this might be a great birthday present for him! It was!!! A great success! His 3 year old brother loves it, too. They love watching the water wheel spin around when they pour the cup of water down the tower.

Great Summer Fun

Playing with water in a \"sanitary\" manner

I bought this item after having great satisfaction with the Step 2 Sand Table.

My two children love playing with water. This table satisfies on two levels. First, the kids can play with water outside on those days when it is just not hot enough for swimming pool play. Second, the raised table keeps the water clean (and the kids clean). Assembly was a snap and the delivery by Amazon was in just two days! The price was comparable to many stores here in the geographic area and was even more of a deal since I did not have to spend the gas or time in driving to the store to purchase it.

The table is easy to empty and, since it only holds a few gallons, is easy on the water bill.

Great water table!

My 14 month old LOVES this table! It is easy to move from inside to outside. It sits low enough to the ground and it comes to about waist high on my toddler. Helps with the improvement of gross motor skills. Great product!

Great Razor! Good for the price.

My 6 and half year old daughter is absolutely loveling the Razor. It is very easy to handle and adjust. However, it would be great if the foot board would have been a little bigger.

Good For The City

I use this when I run errands near my house. Its a convenient way to get around, and it folds up nicely for carrying when you don\'t want to be on it. Its a greener way to get around, and it\'s actually a really fun scooter.

The Best!!

I looked everywhere and did tons of research on scooters before buying this for my 4 year-old. I was concerned about it\'s size, but had nothing to worry about. The handle goes up or down depending on your childs height. My daughter just loves it (especially as it\'s pink!) and can maneuver it as well as her 6 year-old sister. It\'s a great deal and very sturdy and folds down to fit nicely away. Just love it!!!!!

The game rules and almanac booklet sets out four pages of guidelines for getting started. Don't worry, the rules are straightforward and the four pages include plenty of illustrations. There's a starting map that shows a well-balanced set-up for beginners to follow and directions that allow more advanced players to lay out the map of the island at random. You'll have to pop the die-cut components of the game out of their cardboard holders before you play your first game.

The almanac portion of the booklet is laid out alphabetically, so while playing you can find answers to specific questions quickly. Useful entries remind you exactly what role pieces like the robber play, how actions like maritime trade work, and how to set up the board or finish the game.

Exploring and Developing Catan
The board consists of 19 terrain hexes surrounded by the ocean. Each type of terrain produces a different type of resource: brick, wool, ore, grain or lumber. There's also a desert hex that produces no resources. As the game progresses, players use resources to build roads along the edges of these hexes and settlements or cities on the intersections where three hexes meet. Each player begins the game with two settlements and two roads.

Each player's roll of the dice causes certain hexes to produce resources, which you collect if you have a settlement on one of them. On your turn, you'll use various combinations of the resources you've acquired to build new roads and settlements, upgrade settlements to cities, or purchase development cards. The ability to trade resources with other players adds a new level of strategy and ensures that the game includes lots of interaction between players. You can also trade without worrying about other players using an unfavorable maritime trade rate. Elements including a robber piece that lets you steal from other players and a variety of development cards add intrigue to the game.

The objective of The Settlers of Catan is to be the first one who collects 10 victory points. Each settlement is worth one victory point and each city is worth two victory points. You can also earn victory points by holding the Longest Road card, the Largest Army card, or special victory point development cards.

Great Game!

The best legal, G-rated fun in a box!

I read that this game was addicting, but I had no idea. If you like board games, you REALLY need to purchase this game. The pros to this game are: even though the \"how to play the game\" booklet is huge, it REALLY is easy to learn; the booklet shows you the easy way to learn the game - and it even has a link to view video instruction on-line (which is very nice!); once you learn the basics, you can change the game to make it more challenging and a totally different game each time you play; in addition there are expansion packs available! The big con-side is that the game suggests a minimum of three players and a maximum of four players for the game without any expansion packs. I usually only have one other person available...so we either take turns being the \"third player\" or we just play the game with the two of us - it is not as much fun (the 3rd person really adds to the challenge of the game), but we still have a great time! The dynamics of the game really are best with 3 to 4 players. The game itself is made of a very sturdy hardboard/cardboard, but we play SO much that we have squshed the corners of some of the pieces (we are hard on games). The game will still last us many more years of enjoyment, though, because the pieces are sturdy. I love this game because we can make it as challenging as we want and it never goes \"on-and-on-and-on\" - the game booklet claims the game can be played in about an hour, and no lie, no matter how challenging we make it, the game lasts almost exactly one hour. Then we can play again or stop for the evening. We can make it super easy (play for less points or give ourselves a \'city\' to begin with, for eaxmple) if we only have a half an hour.

The Settlers of Catan is a fun game. It teaches cooperation, deal-making, strategy, and planning by giving you \"resources\" that you can use in a number of ways to win...there is no totally \"right\" or totally \"wrong\" way....just like life, there are so many paths we can take to the same end result and so many ways to \"win\" ....

This game is so much fun! I actually bought this one for a friend of mine for his birthday.

Tough to learn but fun to play

Takes quite a while to unsnap the pieces and fit them together. The thickness of the parts could be larger and there is no help in how to store the pieces in the box. But the game is great. Get on the web and follow the video tutorial that has a simulation of players starting the game. Then grab some friends, have them watch it and have a great time (about the third time you play). Not an easily adaptable game for two players but, again, there are hints on the web.

Fast, Easy Set-Up
The only set-up required is to install three AA batteries. Opening the battery compartment requires a small Phillips head screw driver, which means an adult needs to change the batteries. This keeps batteries in the right place during active play, but it also means that changing batteries on the fly requires you to have a screwdriver with you.

The manual is clear and concise, with descriptions of how to play and a list of all the special commands the Hyper Voice issues, so any child can be up and running in just a few minutes. There's no button to turn the unit off, but it quickly shuts itself off when not in use to save battery life.

Getting Moving Quickly
The electronic tagger plays upbeat music and calls out voice commands to control the game, while players following the commands race against the clock to tag targets identified by color and number. excellent toy

Very entertaining and keeps my 7 and 3 year old occupied for a long time. It takes a little getting used to for someone younger than 4 to get the caps to fit right, but after that its a lot of fun.

I have purchased one for every child I know and it is a hit every time. Even the grown ups love it! It can be played inside or out and has different levels for advancing ages. Highly recommended!

Great fun, but broke after only a couple months of use

My boys absolutely LOVED this game, but after only a couple months of use, it no longer works. We had a hard time turning the game off, it always wanted to stay on and wear out the batteries. Unfortunately, I ordered it in October as a Christmas gift, so was unable to return it once they opened it.

Already Broken

This toy was a lot of fun, however, one month later it is already broken. We loved it until it broke.

Great exercise for the body and the brain

Got this for my 9-year-old son for his birthday. He and his friends love playing the team-based games. The higher difficulty levels offer good math and logic challenges and really make them think while they are running around trying to tag the next target. The best thing is that you can increase the aerobic activity of each game as much as you want just by spreading the targets out further and further. My only criticism would be that sometimes the plunger-like mechanism isn\'t the smoothest leading to a little frustration when tagging targets, especially for littler kids. Other than that, this is a definite recommend.

Don\'t let the age range fool you - this game is great for teens and adults. I just played it with a teen group and we had 5 of them jockeying for space at the table. A terrific game.

Fun Alternative to Scrabble

I\'ve played Bananagrams with a number of different players, and ultimately, I must say that the game is fun, but there are some issues. The short advice is that if you like word games (like Scrabble), you\'ll probably like Bananagrams.

The game itself is pretty straight forward. Each player takes a number of tiles (somewhere between 16-20 tiles each), and then the game starts. You must take your tiles and start forming words in a crossword puzzle style. After someone has used all of their tiles, they yell \"Banana\" and everyone grabs an extra tile to work into their crossword puzzle. The game continues until all tiles have been taken, and the first to finish then is the winner.

The problems with this game come into play when trying to mesh in with it\'s audience. If someone is really good at this game, it tends to be impossible for any other player to win. If a player happens to get a good set of letters and finishes their initial set quickly, then they tend to keep yelling banana until the game ends. Likewise, when you get behind it\'s very difficult to get back in the game. These problems occasionally ruin the game, but players tend to get used to this.

The bright side is that bananagrams is also a pretty free form game. It can work with a number of players (even 1), could easily be played in teams, could be played as one giant crossword rather than 1 crossword per player, and with some additional though, more alternative game types could be created (maybe even something as simple as \"nouns only\").

Overall, the fast gameplay and free form nature of the game help it appeal to a wide group. Don\'t expect this game to last you all night long, but it\'s great as a more casual event where everyone can participate.

Fun, Portable... and a Great Cranial Workout

My co-workers and I have the occasional \"game night\" -- we usually play Cranium, Uno, Scattergories and the like but when someone pulled Bananagrams out of her purse, it wasn\'t long before we got over our initial skepticism. It is, as others have pointed out, a lot like Scrabble without the board -- only instead of building off of other people\'s words and having to keep score, you work solely with your own letters/words. Plus, not having to really keep score is a huge bonus (rather, the first person out of tiles -- when there are no more tiles left in the community pool to draw from -- wins). I\'ve already played with my parents on a recent visit home (they both loved it) and I suspect this will now be packed for camping trips right alongside my tent.

Water bottle - Best Buy!

Great product, great features! The addition of the handle strap put this product over the top for me - Water is cold, tasteless, orderless, and now, even easier to use than ever. I carry 2 of these water bottles on my road bike and will not doubt purchase again in the future as gifts and extras to have when needed.

Nothing special

I must confess that I was excited about this bottle, but have been rather disappointed. They claim that it is insulated, but only by having a double walled construction; but the plastic is hardly insulating. A previous reviewer stated that there is gel filling within the bottle, but it\'s merely tin foil that allegedly helps insulate the bottle against sunlight. All in all, I\'m not impressed, and would likely find another bottle if I hadn\'t already purchased this one.

Great water bottle!

This is a great water bottle. Some of the other reviewers did a great job, I will just add that the loose foil layer is inside between the two plastic layers. This further limits air movement inside the insulated area, which helps keep your drink cool. From some of the pictures, it almost looks like the outside of the bottle has some sort of loose, foil-plastic material on it, and it looks like maybe it wouldn\'t hold up, but, as I said, it isn\'t that way, and it seems as if the bottles should last us a long time.

I froze water 1/2 way then put in cold water to top and thought I would be good for the day!! Ahhhh NO!

LOVE IT!

We LOVE this toy! We have one in the diaper bag and the other one on the baby\'s changing table to entertain him when he\'s cranky. This is sometimes the only thing that can distract our baby from a meltdown.

We bought this on the recommendation of a friend for our 6-month old twins. At first, they just watched the lights. Now at 11 months, they reach for it and prefer it over other toys. The music is fun and upbeat and the lights are great and keep the baby busy. As a mom, I like that the volume has 3 settings: off, low and high. The \"high\" isn\'t really that loud either. We have it set to the lower setting, and turn it off when we put it in the diaper bag. If you don\'t push \"play\" again after the song is done, it stops, so it\'s not constantly playing and driving you nuts. Great toy at a great price.

Great except for the lid.

I bought this toy when my child was an infant. He loved the bright colors and putting the shapes into the sorter.. that is until he found he could easily open the lid. From then on, he was more excited about putting the lid on and taking it off. Nice product, just wish it gave some resistance for taking the lid off.

He Loves Learning His Shapes!...

My 15 month old son has had this toy for about 4 months and he just loves it. After about of week of working with him, he\'s learned what shapes go where, and when it\'s time to clean up his playroom each night, he always puts his blocks back in the bin one at a time through their proper holes.

My only complaint is the lid. Like many people before me have said, it doesn\'t snap on, it just kinda sits on top of the bin. If I don\'t replace the top after he\'s dumped out all the blocks, then he loses interest and moves on. Overall, it\'s a sturdy, simple toy for teaching kids their shapes and we\'re very pleased with it

Wonderful product to help with floor time and older stages. The blocks are vibrant and very eye catching. My daughter loved these as a baby and continues to enjoy them now as a toddler.

My 8 month old son really enoys these blocks, they fit his hands perfectly! The lid does come off easily but, he likes to play with that too and look through the different holes. I love the newer glow in the dark version, i used to have this years ago as a child, I am now 38 and wanted to show nieces this amazing board I used to \"play\" with as a kid.

Why are there always fanatics?

Of course there are fanatics calling this toy evil because B movies give it a bad name but the fact is this IS a toy. This is a toy. It\'s a fun toy. It\'s a rectangular piece of card board with the alphabet drawn on it and then painted with glow in the dark paint. The planchet (the triangle thing) is plastic. It wasn\'t \'carved by Satan.\' It\'s not Evil. It\'s a toy. Think about it. What self respecting demon is going to show up using a glow in the dark piece of plastic? If that\'s your idea of evil clearly you don\'t know about the cruelty and violence in the world today that you have to rant about a TOY! Get a grip!

Little girls use these at slumber parties and I\'ve yet to see anyone sucked into Hell for asking the piece of cardboard \'Does Timmy like me?\' Some of these negative reviews calling this evil and Satanic are out right silly.

Insectosaurus playset

This is by far the best set in the series! Additionally, it is the only way to get the much prized Insectosaurus figure, which is not available in any other size. The figures are well sculpted and painted, and the addition of electronic features is a plus. Not only do the calming unit\'s lights actually turn on, the giant bug\'s sound effects only add more enjoyment! I think these pieces would hold up fairly well to child\'s play, and they work as a collector\'s item too. This one, more than the others, is worth the price of admission!

Better than I was led to believe

I read some of the other reviews of this product and though they were mostly negative the problems discussed did not sound insurmountable. When I opened it up, I was pleasantly surprised. The play mat is very thin plastic but it lay mostly flat the first time. As I opened the other pieces I laid several volumes of my encyclopedia of philosophy on it to further flatten it. It could not have taken me more than 10 minutes to open and assemble the other bridge pieces and two figures we\'d bought to go with it. When I removed the books at that time, the play mat was almost entirely flat.

We had no difficulty placing the other pieces on the bridge, or making figures stand in various locations.

My son, who is 5, loves it. He has uttered no complaints. I sat and played with him twice yesterday, and I have to say that in my opinion it\'s a very nice toy. It is true that you do not get a complete bridge, but you know that going in, if you can read. It says so on the box. It also says the bridge is a play mat. Now while a 5-year-old can be a bit clumsy when there are a lot of pieces in the way of his figures, at least they fall over rather than break. And a fallen console can be easily replaced. And let\'s be honest, what kid does not like a fight out battles and destroy things? They do it in the movies, after all.

The main view screen is a thing of beauty. A big image of the Romulan vessel fills it and when it is backlit (we have it facing the patio door) it\'s very realistic. There are two data screens as well and they also have nice graphics on them. The captain\'s \"center seat\" and the helm and navigation stations are nicely detailed and helps hold down the center of the mat and any ridges from its folding. The Kirk figure sits reasonably snugly in his seat or can sit in for Sulu, and I had no problem making his right hand grab the control in front of him.

I look forward to seeing the rest of the pieces produced, and crew members, for a fully equipped and manned bridge. I recommend this toy. For an adult, a lovely diorama could be made, but kids, if they\'re anything like mine, will love playing with it, destroying it, and setting it up again.

Not the best, but pretty ok.

I have read the other reviews on this product and I must agree with the fact that the plastic mat is cheap and mildly disappointing. However the box it comes in says \"playmat\" so you have a forewarning. One review states that the chairs do not fit properly into their base. The particular one that I purchased just yesterday all fit perfectly and the swivel action works as well. I figure the problem lies in the fact that if you read in fine print on the package, as well as the Galaxy figure collection, it states \"prototypes shown, final product appearance and colors may vary\". Unfortunately it sounds like someone may have purchased one hot off the line and all the bugs hadn\'t been ironed out yet. Speaking of ironing, the mat itself is rolled up and takes a bit of pressing, mine had been sitting under a heavy fixture for about 12 hours and other than the crease in the middle it lays flat. I happen to be a big kid and avid collector of things, and most of these things I generally display. I simply took a heavy black poster board and laid the mat on it, and intend to get a piece of clear plastic like Plexiglas to lay over the mat. The figure that it comes with is basically pointless as you have to buy the same figure in an individual pack to get the accessories which compliment the overall appearance of the Bridge. My biggest concern at this point is that as the reviews stated, you need 18 figures. So far I have collected all 10, and 3 of which have pieces that go to the Transporter Room, which requires 4 pieces. So this leaves 12 pieces all together for both rooms that to date have not been produced to my knowledge... they better be! Those who are parents might want to think twice before buying these products as it seems that these have been produced and geared more toward collectors like myself. Hopefully with all the movie hype and its\' upcoming nationwide premier next weekend the rest of the products will hit shelves by early summer. All in all this is not the best product, but it\'s still pretty neat, and I\'m sure once I get it completely pressed and break open the figures and start building, the end result will be worth it.
